Where to eat dessert in Tokyo

I have a serious sweet tooth. I always crave sweets after eating a meal, despite feeling full. This is probably one of the reasons why my diet resolutions always fail *facepalm*

I`ve lived in Japan for 3 years and here are some of my personal recommendations for you on where to eat delicious dessert in Tokyo area. Don`t blame me if you get infected by my `sweet tooth` disease.

1. BITTERSWEETS BUFFET
This place is an all-you-can-eat dessert located in Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. They have several choices of pastas , salads, & delicious sweets. Make sure you bring your empty stomach before going there. For your information, I’ve been there twice now and I’ve been quite satisfied.

2.Takano Fruits Parlour
Located inside Takashimaya department store in Shinjuku, Takano Parlour is a nice place to go on a date or a girls night out. They specialize in parfaits such as mixed fruits parfait, peach parfait, mixed berries parfait and a lot more. You might find the price a little bit expensive but, really, the taste is worth the price.

3. J-World
It stands for ‘Jump World’ an refers to Japanese weekly manga magazine, Shounen Jump. This place is indeed a heaven for Otakus. This mini theme park features areas dedicated to the Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto world and etc. Wait a minutes, what does J-world have to do with dessert? They sell Shonen Jump characters themed cakes and ice cream which probably you shouldn`t miss. I`m not an otaku but I love taking photos of cute stuff. To enter this place, you have to pay around 1,200 yen for the entrance ticket but this place is quite fun.

4. Afternoon Tea TEAROOM
I love scones but I never be able to find decent scones in Japan. The other day, I finally had the chance to go to their shop in Ueno and try their afternoon tea set. The afternoon tea menu included cheese cakes, scones, apple pies and some other drool-worthy cakes. I have to admit that their scones were crunchy on the outside, moist and tender inside. All in all, I highly recommend this place. Especially if you`re looking for a wonderful selection of delicious teas and cakes.

Thanks for stopping by. I`ll post more updates later!

Counting down the days!

After dating for about a year, my boyfriend finally proposed to me. I was over the moon! To be frank, I`m still overwhelmed with excitement and joy from the proposal.

In the past I suffered through several breakups and finally I found someone who loves me the way I am. I`m not trying to bluff but he`S a needle in a haystack!

Anyway, 30 days to my engagement party and I have still have tons of things to prepare. I live in a foreign country, away from my parents and relatives, so I gotta do everything by myself. My boyfriend *now fiancé* is no help at all, he just leaves it all up to me.

Can’t wait til December 28! It will a new chapter of my life.
